In the eyes of grandfather

standing in mountains, old and wise
taking care of next warm sunrise
man of present, future and past
grandfather who stands as the last

human empires, centuries of war
human nature, all forgotten lore
it might be too late for them to see
how they spread hate all over the sea

to rule, conquer, to stand above all
to look into distance, stumble and fall
eyes set on crossing next big line
life in blind comfort feels so fine

but we care about others, family, friends
live for each other until bitter ends
controlled by feelig standing high above
human nature is complicated just as love

maybe there is reason behind that act
blind eyes of rage cover this fact
even though we find delight in night
human heart always seeks brighter light
